The Drama School of Art Theatre was founded in 1941, by Charles Kuhn, in order to create a nursery of actors, which has staffed the Art Theatre since its inception in 1942. The school did not cease its operation even during the period 1950-1954, when the operation of the Art Theater ceased and Karolos Kun collaborated with the National Theater. The first performance in the BASEMENT, in May 1954, with “Our Little Town”, was presented as a “demonstration” of the students of the School of Art Theater in the years 1950-1954. The course lasts three years, during which the students are taught: Acting, Improvisation, Oral Language Education, Movement and Dance, Music and Song, Dramatology, History of Theatre, History of Modern Greek Literature, History and Practice of Cinema, Scenography — Costume Design and Face Dressing (make-up).
