How many times have you thought that you would like to dance like no one is watching you? On Sunday December 6 from 15:00 and Sunday December 13 from 18:00, dance until the final fall, dance as you want in your home, watching important moments from the Festival of Young Choreographers of the Roof. 878 minutes of dance, performances that were engraved in our memory, performances that we did not have the opportunity to see up close, in as well as group works, great Greek choreographers in their first steps, dancers we admire, parade for a total of 15 hours on our screens for a single time each, thus celebrating her new vocation Housing for young choreographers.
When everything seems to have stopped, what is it that moves you? What excites you? Move, restart, move to a new “together”. This is what the open call of the 8th Festival of Young Choreographers seeks, which does not stop moving in the footsteps of young artists. Choreographers, dancers, dramatists, researchers and performers from the expanded field of contemporary dance and performance can submit proposals for dance expression, choreography, movement and kinesiology at every level: form, aesthetics and content until 14 December 2020. For when circumstances overturn what we took for granted, we are called upon to revisit how we function, how we create, how we “embrace” from within, or, correspondingly, how we creatively transcend limiting conditions. Dancing means inventing from the beginning what moves me, what moves me and moves me, what motivates me and what moves me from what I knew so far.
In the 15-hour tribute to the Festival of Young Choreographers, which will be presented in two parts, Sunday 6 December from 15:00 (4th and 5th Festival) and Sunday 13 December from 18:00 (6th and 7th Festival), the following productions of the Onassis Foundation Roof will be shown for a unique time.
