“Let's get TAF- er!” TAF - Thessaloniki Animation Festival - was created by Addart and within five (5) years managed to become the 2nd largest animation festival in Greece and is moving dynamically abroad. Respecting the health crisis, TAF is coming to you digitally this year through all devices with internet access. With selected films from thousands of participants and guests from all over the world, among them: Carlos Gaxiola, founder of the DEMENTE studio that is producing the well-known animation “Rick & Morty”, Canadian actor Christian Lloyd, a member of the cast of the famous series “Umbrella Academy” & “Handsmaid's Tale” and BAFTA-winning screenwriter Alan Keane helmed the scripts for Space Chicken form Space, OddBods and the popular series Black Mirror. The TAF will take place from 22 to 30 October digitally. Viewers will have the opportunity to watch it through the website www.tafestival.gr, on a specially configured and easy-to-use platform “streaming on demand”. The festival will be opened with a speech by Panagiotis Kyriakoulakos, Vice President of Asifa Hellas on the occasion of celebrating 75 years of Greek Animation. During TAF, webinars will be held, where guests will share their knowledge with the public, as well as the first Balkan Animation Pitching Forum (BAF) in which producers and studios from the Balkans will present their projects to prominent producers and distributors from all over the world. Finally, as every year, the festival will host a competition of animated short films, with awards and for the first time the public will be presented with the role of judge with the eponymous “audience award”.
