In addition to the digitized archive, now the National is moving on to online screenings of shows that were played until a while ago and were discontinued.
The National Theatre, following the initiative of the Ministers of Culture and Sports State and Digital Governance and responding to the need to develop alternative ways for citizens to access culture, it is proceeding with a series of online screenings of performances that were forcibly interrupted due to the measures to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic.
In this unprecedented and gloomy environment that we all experience, the National Theater and through the address www.n-t.gr will have a special place in the daily life of each and every one of us.
The program for the current week (3-4-5/4) includes the following screenings for free:
Macbeth, by William Shakespeare, directed by Dimitris Lignadis
Friday at 21:00
Hotel Éternité, by Yannis Kalavrianos, directed by himself
Sunday at 21:00
One Thousand and One Stories, (for children from 5 years old) by Mike Kenny, directed by Vasia Attarian and Myrtos Makridis
Saturday at 17:00 & Sunday at 12:00
The screenings of the performances will be available on the same days and hours from the websites of the Ministry of Culture and Sports www.culture.gr and the Ministry of Digital Governance www.mindigital.gr
Stay tuned as the above screenings will be enriched with others that you will be informed about by the National Theatre on a weekly basis, as well as any new online action.
