The talented actress Varvara Kara spoke to stellasview.gr and Efthymios Ioannidis on the occasion of the performance “Mein Komplex”, adapted and directed by Babis Kalliotis, which will be staged at the Amalia Theatre. When did you first come into contact with theatre, what was it that led you to take this particular path in the field of Art? My first contact with the theatre scene was at the age of 17, before I started my studies, with the amateur team of the municipality of Oreokastro in the play “Red Lanterns” playing Katerina, where I won the 1st prize for performance. What prompted me to follow the path of acting is that it was a unique kind of expression. Every new role would be a new beginning. I would meet different personalities either existential or imaginary, and I would have the luxury of composing and deepening each time in the psychosynthesis of the respective role. With this in mind, I felt that I could at the same time more easily coexist with my fellow human beings and understand them, observing more deeply their perspectives on various kinds of issues.
