Tasos Bulmettis is inspired by the epic 1968 AEK — Slavia Prague match and, 50 years later, recruits a rich and talented cast to uncover the fascinating backstory behind the elusive dream come true. In one bright night, a story of national upheaval unfolds, centered on the legendary match in Kallimarmaro that the whole of Greece watched on the radio, and more than 80,000 people up close (“breaking” the Guinness record as the largest gathering in a basketball match). The touching and funny stories of the film compose a colorful microcosm, but also the canvas of a shocking era, and a whole country.
