Petros Politis is a composer, acrobat, guitarist.
He was born in Athens in 1980. At the age of 17, he started classical guitar in Vassilis Kanaras' class at the International Conservatory of Athens and within 5 years he received his diploma with “honours unanimously and second prize”. At the same time, he studied advanced theory in the class of Giorgos Sioras' and finished with his diploma in composition in 2010 with a grade “Excellent unanimously and a prize”.
He has been working since 2002 as a professor of classical-electric guitar and music at the Athens International Conservatory until today.
He has participated in theatrical productions as a musician and performer as well as has written music in some of them (Molyvenian soldier directed by Marianna Toli, as a musician in the performance Mary Poppins travels with The Beatles).
In 2009 she composes for the dance play BOI THEY VOI by Pierre Tavernier.
In 2010 he won a composition award in the competition “Contemporary Chamber Music” - at the Theocharakis Foundation with the work “Erkyna” for violin and guitar.
He is a member of the Athenian mandolinata D.Lavragas at the Hellenic National Opera.
Finally, he is the founder and composer of the music band NEFELOPETRA with many concerts throughout Greece.
