With influences from the whole range of arts and a key tool the techniques of experiential and invented theatre, the 90th C group deals with realistic theatre that immediately resists, intervenes and mobilizes. It was founded by Dimitris Komninos in 2004, on the occasion of the eponymous performance of the Pulitzer Prize-winning play Marsha Norman, which was staged at the On Kolono Theatre in the 2004 - 2005 season. Then Dimitris Komninos and 90°C staged the “Bald Singer” by E. Ionesco, played with great success in the seasons 2005 - 2006 & 2006 - 2007, at Theaters On Kolono, State Theatre of Northern Greece and Victoria. In the 2007-2008 season, the group staged “Spirtokouto” at the Victoria Theatre, a theatrical adaptation of the film play of the same name by Yiannis Ekonomidis, which won the award for Best Young Greek Work at the Audience Awards 2008 organized by Athinorama magazine. In 2010, the team staged at the Victoria Theater the comedy “The real Inspector hound” by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Tom Stoppard, entitled “This Is What We'll See”. The group also signed the hits “Fucking Games” by Grae Cleugh and “Fit To Be Tied”, by Nicki Silver, which were played at the team's headquarters, the Victoria Theatre. The activity of the group was suspended with the closure of the Victoria Theatre, whose fortunes were managed, as Artistic Director, by Dimitris Komninos, from 2006 to 2015. The actors and actors of the 90°C group alternate depending on the repertoire. The group has also organized seminars and workshops based on David Mamet's Practical Aesthetics method of acting as it was formed through the teachings of Sanford Meisner - The Sanford Meisner Technique. The group is legally and accountingly supported by the Urban Non-Profit Society “Odyssey - Cultural Events”
