The project
A Midsummer Night's Dream (original title: A Midsummer Night's Dream) by William Shakespeare is an iconic classic play that harmoniously combines realism with the surreal elements of a fairy tale. Written at the end of the 16th century, it is distinguished both for the lyricism of its poetic language, for the imaginative comic dramatic situations it composes, and for the vivid images it conveys to the reader/viewer. The comedy constantly flirts with an unprecedented magical eroticism that transcends gendered human imperatives. All in all, the work to this day seals its universal appeal, opening new horizons in terms of spiritual alertness, stimulation of imagination and openness to free will.
