A particularly powerful dramaturgical work by Martin McDonagh, which with the direction of Scotland, the viewer does not just watch, but lives it, forms a view. In a poor house in the beautiful but isolated countryside of Northern Ireland, a mother lives with her old daughter. The relationship of the two women is exterminating. The oppressive and out of every norm mother-monster character, verbally abuses the daughter-maid/nurse on a daily basis. He does not even pretend, so that he selfishly keeps her close to her in order to serve her to the end. Captivatingly and brazenly, he constantly poisons her and even does not hesitate to ridicule her for secrets that he learns and destroys any of their elements, violating the daughter's personal space and exceeding all “maternal rights”. The expected selfless maternal love is completely absent. On the other hand, the daughter, completely cut off from social life and without a personal life, is exclusively in charge of caring for the mother. Mentally unstable, due to financial dependence and maternal oppression, he does not dare to make the opening, he only imagines it. The climax tragic for both heroines. Directed by Mrs. Darkness is masterful. They achieve the goal of the project, completely leading the four actors. Excellent in her role is Agoritsa Economou, Sofia Seirli is also excellent. They perfectly convey to the viewer the vitriolic and exterminating mother-daughter relationship. Tsitsiopoulos, acting comforting, brings tenderness and romance to the house, while Katsis brings humor through his character. The viewer needs both. The setting is very successful, it really takes us to the austere and cold house of the project. Diamond performance of this year's theatrical season, I highly recommend it!
