“Ladies and gentlemen! Very soon I am going to ask for volunteers from the public, but not from you. So don't get up!”
Andy loses his daughter in a car accident. Since then, nothing is as it seems. His life resembles a theatrical play, in which he must continue to play without knowing the words. The driver of the car is a professional hypnotist. Since the accident, she has lost her talent. Her performances are for crying. The two come face to face when Andy stands up as a volunteer at her show. And this time, he really doesn't know the words...
The Oak realizes the actor's worst nightmare. Every night a different guest goes on stage without rehearsing, without having read the text and without having the slightest idea what is going to happen next. He meets Marina Argyridou on the spot and together they star in a daring theatrical challenge, where the limits of reality are constantly changing. Andreas Andreou returns to the stage of Bios, directing an unexpected story of deception, loss and reconciliation, delivered with humor, madness and sensitivity. From January 30 and every Monday-Tuesday at 21.00.
The Oak has been performed in over twenty countries by award-winning author and actor Tim Crouch with the participation of artists such as Frances McDormand, Katherine Hunter, Tim Blake Nelson, Laurie Anderson, Alanis Morissette and many others. For the Greek show, he brings together an unexpected mix of fine guests, including actors, musicians, performers and an indologist.
