I'm no expert, but the circus is my life.
The Karambeti Walnut was the only correct one. The hermaphrodite. The judge of the project.

Alkistis poulopoulou should be the weightlifter. She was very strong.

Alekos Syssovitis had to be LULU, as the poster very well told us, and he could interpret it very nicely and modestly.

Finally, Haris Frangoulis had to remain the monkey from the very beginning, which he was. Because he took a lot of it and the circus suited him.


Long duration, interesting plot, predictable ending. Just like in the circus. But the circus, despite its predictability, has a different kind of content, it teaches you that no matter what,
the acrobat never falls.

The circus started on the street. From families ladies. First by blood and then by choice.

Families who travel the world uninterested in material goods. Except for their equipment that always pay attention like their eyes.

It started with queer people, flourished in France mainly during the period of the Revolution - every period of turmoil is suitable for a circus, as well as comedy - then it adopted animals, and finally, in modern Europe, at least, it has simply suppressed human forces. But what happened next?

Then it became a kitsch pop fashion. As I found out through the very well done show, Lulu.

Mr. John Houvardas made a terribly risky adaptation of a masterpiece by Frank Vendekin. This project went through successive waves of bans, censorship, and we can see this from a simple search on the internet. But how can we not see this again through our visit to the theater?

Summing up the plot, Lulu, the woman is a persona, a girl, a prostitute, an angel. He's the avenging victim. It is the ideal surface for men and women of all ages to project their every possible and unlikely fantasy for the ultimate object of their lust. She, only she, is fit to embody any fantasy.
Only she is cursed, because everything she touches and loves withers.


Coming out of the show, after a simple and beautiful (because of its simplicity) “erase” I felt that... I was relieved. Not because it's over. I could watch her all day.

But, why throughout the show did I feel awkward? I wanted to make a cut and change the roles.

I wanted to tell the talented Grace to take on the role of Monkey again, as he promised us at the beginning.

I wanted to tell the true and sensual performer, Alkistis to become what they say in the circus, the White Clown, and make the world happy, as she seemed to want from her performance.

I wanted to tell Karyofilia that she is a serious professional and could not better interpret the role of hermaphrodite, that is, justice that is never justified, that is, nature.

And I also wanted to tell Alekos that he is a great artist and would embody Loulou, both aristocratically and masterfully.

Because the circus is beautiful like that. Simple and childish.
Anything but kitsch.
And children are both young and old.

It's simple. And in simplicity, everyone, without exception, loses it in translation. Especially in the Greek translation.
Congratulations, however, for the effort that was beyond the Greek standards and I hope that this effort will not be discouraged.

Congratulations on the sound editing, the actors seemed that at the same time they are also musicians, an indispensable attribute of a circus. Also, congratulations on the physical expression, scenography and awesome skits supporting a show in three different languages in a natural, human way.

I recommend this show to the public because it is indisputably, food for thought.
