A big secret puts the friendship of a group of teenagers to the test and threatens to blow up the balance of an entire school. It is enough to press a button on the DVD and everything will come out into the light, the screen will catch fire. With a camera in hand what is a teenager capable of doing? At such critical moments, what boundaries should be respected and what dangers lurk? How should one stand up to the privacy of others and how to manage one's own unspoken secrets?
A pioneer in teen theatre in Greece, the Grasshopper team and its artistic director, director and child psychiatrist Sofia Vgenopoulou, have commissioned the acclaimed author Vangelis Hatzigiannidis to write, for the first time in Greece, a play for teenagers.
The play “On Screen Light” deals with boldness and penetration a pivotal episode in the lives of five teenagers avoiding the trap of didacticism. Flanked by a young troupe and with the valuable input of experienced actors, Sofia Vginopoulou makes the most of computer and projection technology in a multimedia performance that touches on the big dilemmas and critical decisions of adolescence on the difficult path to adulthood.
