Remy, a boy of only eight years old at the time of our story, unexpectedly learns that the kind woman who raised him with so much love for so many years is not his real mother. Unfortunately, her husband, after an accident that leaves him unable to work, sells the child, secretly from his wife, to an unknown itinerant magician. Remi is forced to follow Mr. Vitali - a forgotten, famous Italian singer - a cheating monkey and a scandalous dog, who are members of a wandering troupe that gives performances in the open air. In his new life our little friend will survive thanks to his wit, honesty and good heart — but also to his companion, his good and trusted new friend, Mattia.
