The Piraeus Municipal Theatre, insisting on a social policy, for a theatre open to society as well as to theatrical education, opens its doors to the general public for the third year in a row, with the Three-Year European Programme - Spring Festival 2018-2020 and the theme The Dynamics of Greek Speech in Theatre.
The festival “The Dynamics of Greek Speech in the Theater” builds a bridge between the stage and the square, through open rehearsals, during which the audience has the opportunity to penetrate the depths of the theater, to know how a performance is built and what role its actors play: director, actors, director sonographer, illuminator and others.
At the same time, through open rehearsals and dialogue with the participants of the performances, the creative involvement of the spectators is encouraged. The audience is invited to attend free open rehearsals, expose their questions and concerns, chat with directors.
Piraeus Municipal Theatre is therefore open to all schools, nursing homes, passers-by, anyone who wants to see what culture, theatre means and how it evolves from rehearsal to stage act.
It invites the whole world to discover the mechanism of the theatrical act with accompanying writers, directors, actors, scenographers, costume designers and luminaries.
