The Athens School of Drama announces the details for the entrance and transfer examinations for the new academic year. Candidates who are interested to be admitted to the first year or to transfer from other schools to the second and third year are invited to submit the necessary documents either in person at the school's secretariat or online via the official website. Applications must include, among other things, photocopies of your identity card and school leaving certificate and two colour photographs.

The First Year Examination will be held in two stages, where candidates will be asked to present a monologue, a poem, a song, and participate in an improvisation, followed by an interview. Candidates for transcription will be considered in a single stage, with a limited number of places available.

The school offers a rich and comprehensive curriculum that includes courses in acting, dance, singing, directing and other specialist areas such as theatre psychology and dubbing. Particular emphasis is placed on the connection between theatre and psychology, introducing courses such as psychodrama and playback theatre, which link theatre education to contemporary social issues. Students have the opportunity to participate in performances staged at the school's professional theatre and at partner theatres and festivals, gaining valuable practical experience.

Upon completion of their studies, graduates receive a state-recognized diploma that enables them to work as professional actors or continue on to postgraduate studies. The school is also distinguished for its innovations in education, such as exclusive training in dubbing at the higher arts education level and educational visits to ancient theatres.
