George Tatakis has just released his photographic album, “OLYMPOS: From Karpathos to Byzantium”, an artistic tribute to the enduring beauty and traditions of the place. With stunning black and white photographs, Tatakis takes the reader on a journey through the traditions and living culture of Olympus. From the Byzantine Easter to the olive harvest, from traditional weddings to animal husbandry, Tatakis's imposing photographs capture the warmth and resilience of the people of Olympus and immerse readers in their daily lives, festive and religious traditions. “The book includes photographs of me from my visits between 2016 and 2017,” Tatakis said. “This book is the result of my passion for photography and my love for Greek culture.
