The Greek National Opera, through its Educational and Social Activities, organizes a concert with the Intercultural Choir on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at 20:30 in the Orchestra's Rehearsal Hall at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Centre. Entrance will be free with tickets available from 7 June 2024 at 12:00, exclusively through ticket services.

The Intercultural Choir of the Greek National Opera will conclude this season with a concert that will combine traditional and contemporary music from various countries and places, including Greece, Bulgaria, Turkey, Syria, Armenia, Southern Italy, Corsica, Estonia, England and Central America. The program will include works by contemporary composers and will showcase the power of the voice beyond traditional forms.

Anna Linardou is conducting the choir and curating the programme, with the orchestrations signed by Vasso Demetriou. Dimitra Kokkinopoulou will be on piano, Michalis Kalkanis on double bass and live looping, and Alexis Nonis on percussion.

The Intercultural Choir, founded in 2017, has hosted members from many countries and has presented concerts in various venues, such as the Alternative Stage of the GNO, Athens squares, Eleftherios Venizelos Airport, and the Summer Nostos Festival. Her repertoire includes songs from the members' countries of origin and is constantly exploring the possibilities of the human voice.
