Synopsis

Giorgos Christodoulou, after his first directorial attempt “Little Hitler” (New World Theatre, 2015), which was a great success for two seasons in a row, returns with the award-winning play of Dutch writer Jan De Hartog “Bridal Bed”, from November 13, in From Machine Theater. It is one of the most famous plays worldwide that has been transferred to cinema, radio and theatre, adapted as a musical, and has been loved as little by foreign and Greek audiences. The story follows the two leading actors, Mike and Agnes, from their wedding night until almost three decades later, in a bittersweet comedy of situations. All the important moments of their long coexistence, from their pregnancies, their successes, their conflicts and their funny moments, unfold before the eyes of the spectators around their bridal bed. A common journey towards maturity, requiring them to fight and toil to prove that “forever together” can be true.
