Rex National Theatre Stage “Marika Kotopouli”
The stage “Marika Kotopouli” is located on the upper floor of the Rex Theater, also known as the “Sikiarideou Megaro”. This is the renovated Kotopouli Theatre, which came into the ownership of the National Theatre in 1993. Previously, the Rex Theater was declared a listed building and came under the ownership of the Ministry of Culture, under whose auspices its renovation took place after the fire of 1982.
The stage “Marika Kotopouli” has a square, a perimeter exposition and 15 theaters as well as an amphitheatrical paloom. The stage has a width of 18.9 meters, a depth of 12.85 meters, a height of 17 meters and is the largest in Athens.
