Schliemann Palace - Mela

Built by architect Ernesto Ziller in 1890 for the family of Henri Schliemann, the Schlieman-Mela Palace began its life as a family residence complex and then housed many historic hangouts, most recently the ill-fated movie theater “Ideal”. Today, the building is once again in transition as it will be converted into a hotel, with all architectural elements and decorative features lost over time restored.
