Katerina Sofianou is a divorced middle-aged senior employee at the advertising-television company COSMOS LTD. - Advertising-TV Shows-Public Relations. Her ex-husband is Miltos Paparas. Katerina lives in a penthouse apartment in the Hilton area, at 2 Archifyllou Street, with her mother Sofia Sofianou and her sister's daughter Irene. Although she is kind-hearted, she is often resentful of the problems of everyday life and the unreasonable demands and behaviors of her intimates.
She has colleagues in the office: Haroula Peponaki, Eleni Sotiriadou and Kostas Tselios. Harula is a nervous and quick-witted but kind-hearted young woman. Eleni Sotiriadou, a young woman of her time, is in love with Jason. Jason is a TV repairman and runs a shop with an employee and friend, Elkis. Jason lives (in the first cycle) with his mother, Thalia, and is usually angered by her curiosity and intrusiveness.
The director of the company where Katerina works is Nora Zacharopoulou, an eccentric rich woman with sensitivities, but also superficiality in her life. Phoebus Trikis, the coffee maker of the tavern, is Haroula's best friend and in love with her. The two have heated arguments, and often Harula lashes out at him. Gradually, Katerina meets and marries Christos Vakouros, a middle-aged pharmacist, who has a jealous and grumpy sister, Amalia Vakoura - Konsta, and a niece (Amalia's daughter, Gogo), who dislike Katerina and her family.
