The award ceremony of the 75th Cannes Film Festival has just ended, with a Greek co-production knowing the ultimate triumph and Ruben Estlund scoring 2 out of 2: two Golden Palms with his two consecutive entries in the competition section.
It is no wonder that the committee of the politicized Vincent Landon would award the grand prize to a film that satirizes the decline of capitalism even in its obvious version, and certainly not to the same heights of criticism, irony and humor as “The Square”, which won the Golden Palm in 2017. This is something we have already mentioned since the first screening of the film.
