Last performance and discussion about the Box at Studio Mavromichali
After 3 years of success at Studio Mavromichalis, this Friday, May 11, the last performance for the iconic novel by Aris Alexandros, “The Box”, is played. “Box” is presented for the third year in a row at Studio Mavromichalis, directed by Fotis Makris and Cleopatra Tologou, with Fotis Makri in the central role. Apart from Athens, the show has been presented in 28 cities throughout Greece, as well as in the event: “Paphos — Cultural Capital of Europe 2017” in Cyprus. From the beginning of the performances (November 26, 2015), “The Box” was accompanied by a series of discussions with the audience, after the end of each performance. Important figures from different spheres of public life were invited to these discussions, who approached Alexander's work and the issues arising from it in their own way, highlighting its implications to date. The audience embraced with unprecedented interest both the performance and the discussions and had the opportunity to exchange views, express questions, engage in fruitful dialogue. The series of discussions with the audience is concluded for this year, with guests the people who supported the performance and discussions over the past three years.Theatrists Martha Koskina and Melina Plastis, the poet, architect and vice president of Amnesty International's Greek section, Andreas Giolasis, the Director Doctor of Philosophy (EKPA), Georgia Pispa, and our theatre partner, Nikos Argyriadis, discuss together with Fotis Makris and of course the audience, about the iconic novel by Aris Alexandros. * The Box is played at Studio Mavromichalis with Fotis Markis in the sole role
