A “house”, a hearth whose foundations are somehow spread out in many corners of the world. The fruit of Stamatis Efstathiou's travels around the world through various theatrical activities that concerned the actor's training/continuous training, the creation of performances, international co-productions, research missions, the contact with local communities through theatre in its broadest sense. A “house” inspired by the “Theatre of Connection”, the system and philosophy of theatre introduced by Stamatis Efstathiou. The operating framework of the “house” is the continuous exercise of the actor, a professional and demanding amateur through small or longer workshops, the creation of performances and events and the “para-theatrical” actions or otherwise actions that are placed on the periphery of the theater which, however, illuminate its essence, such as poetry and storytelling evenings, discussions, exchange of travel experiences or simple stories, cooking, etc. During the year and especially in the summer the center organizes events-retreats in nature giving them a specific theatrical orientation (Theater and local community - Energia, Karanta and theater in houses in villages, Missions in remote parts of the world - Kosmos, etc.) Also, the space is open to children on Sundays with dramatized fairy tales and the incorporation of elements of shadow theater and puppet theater. Emphasis is also placed on international collaborations in the form of teacher transfers and/or performances from abroad. And finally, the B.C.E. Atropos envisions the organization of a small research theatre festival with participants from both Greece and abroad.
